The proposal would involve the Cougars breaking off their WCC affiliation and teaming up with San Diego State (and potentially Boise State) to fill out an expanded non-football MWC membership roster. San Diego State currently has plans to join the Big West for non-football sports, while Boise State has been making arrangement to send its teams to the WAC.

The Mountain West would be stupid not to do this If the Merger falls apart. It would be great for the Broncos If they could sneak in.

Might make more sense however where ever the ENEMY is, your hard pressed to find an Aztec fan whom wants anything to do with them in any arraignment.
